The Humiliation Issue

Thanks for stopping by. This is the first issue of the new-look Raging Face.

We plan to publish four issues per year, each on a different theme, somewhere between 6 and 10 pieces per issue. This quarter, we tackle humiliation. Our sophisticated and original thesis is that events that humiliate us, when described, make great stories. Who cares if you run a race? But if you run a race and get arrested in the middle of it, in front of everyone, for a crime you didn't commit, well, now, that's worth talking about. Our authors attack the subject from various points of view--some of them hit humiliation head-on while others kind of skirt the issue. We've got short stories, comic shorts and essays.
